Authorities at the Makkah-based Grand Mosque announced that they have completed phase II of receiving worshippers as of Sunday, citing the success of phase I, the first post-coronavirus open-but-restricted assembly at the venue. In a statement to highlight the event, Hani bin Husni Hayder, spokesperson of the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques Affairs, said the holy mosque is made ready to receive worshippers as per strict instructions including observance of all kinds of sterilization, cleaning, and distancing on one hand and barring the entrance of personal food and drinks as well as adherence to entrance and exit timing on the other.
