U.S. jets destroyed a mortar bunker in the rebel stronghold of Fallujah, the U.S. military said Sunday. The air strike hit the southeast side of the city Saturday around 4:42 p.m. (1342 GMT), causing secondary explosions, the statement said. "Several insurgents were observed walking back and forth from the bunker to two pickup trucks at the time of the strike. The strike uncovered a tunnel," the U.S. command said. The warplanes were providing an air support mission to the 1st Marine Divisions Regimental Combat Team-7, the statement said.
