Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Chairs Cabinet's Virtual Session

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prime Minister, chaired today the Cabinet's virtual session.
At the outset of the session, the Cabinet noted the contents of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' speech before Urban 20 (U20) Mayors Summit regarding the kenness of Kingdom's presidency of the G20 on issues of urban development, its programs and projects in accordance with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The King asserted that the highest and immediate priority is to combat COVID-19 pandemic and its health, social and economic consequences, to concentrate efforts to find a vaccine for the virus, and to ensure that justice and inclusiveness are achieved in providing it for all, taking into account the needs of the poorest countries, and to focus on addressing the challenges of protecting lives and restoring growth, preserving jobs and the pillars of living to achieve prosperity for all people, to promote equal opportunities, and to take urgent measures that contribute to supporting cities in their efforts in the unified international response to confront the pandemic.
The Cabinet valued the support given by the leadership to the real estate and housing sector, which plays a central role in economic development, and their keenness on citizens to help them, meet their needs, and enable them to own their homes, following the issuance of the royal order exempting all real estate supplies made by way of transfer of ownership and sale from VAT, according to specified procedures and controls.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Minister of State and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Issam bin Saad bin Saeid pointed out that the Cabinet reviewed the developments of the Coronavirus pandemic at the local and international levels, and the statistics in the Kingdom showing a continuing decline in active and critical cases infected with the virus, and the continued increase in recovery cases, with constant follow-up in monitoring all developments at the levels all.
The Cabinet followed the start of the implementation of the first phase of the gradual return to performing Umrah, and the precautionary and preventive measures that have been taken to provide the utmost care for the visitors of the Grand Mosque, and to preserve their health and safety, to perform their rituals in a healthy and safe environment, in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Chairs Cabinet's Virtual Session 2 NEOM
The Cabinet addressed the Kingdom's celebration of the International Teacher's Day, noting that the teachers find the support and interest of the leadership to enable them to fulfill their mission, train and qualify them, and provide the capabilities that enhance their participation, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The Cabinet expressed appreciation for teachers' distinguished efforts in preparing future generations, and the stories of dedication and devotion to fulfill their lofty message this year by continuing the educational process virtually.
Dr. Issam bin Saad bin Saeid pointed out that the Cabinet reviewed the latest regional and international developments, stressing the Kingdom's demand at the United Nations on the occasion of the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, to the international community to assume its responsibilities towards Iran's violations of international agreements and treaties, especially the nuclear agreement called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, which does not constitute any deterrent to Iran from its nuclear aspirations. The Cabinet reaffirmed the importance of adhering to the pillars of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
The Cabinet expressed its congratulations to the leadership and people of the brotherly Republic of Sudan on the occasion of reaching Juba Peace Agreement. The Cabinet stressed that the Kingdom's government is determined to continue its support for the efforts aimed at preserving Sudan's sovereignty, national unity, territorial integrity, protection from external interference, its Arab and Islamic status, as well as its support for the Sudanese people to achieve its legitimate aspirations and hopes, and the Kingdom's confidence in the ability of the brothers in Sudan to move forward and overcome the consequences of the past and create a bright future.
The Cabinet reviewed topics on its agenda, including some being co-studied by the Shura Council. The Cabinet was also briefed on the outcomes reached by the Economic and Development Affairs Council, the Political and Security Affairs Council, the General Committee of the Cabinet, and the Cabinet's Bureau of Experts.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Chairs Cabinet's Virtual Session 3 NEOM
The Cabinet issued the following decisions:
First: The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Foreign Affairs - or his deputy - to discuss and sign with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) a draft headquarters agreement regarding the organization of the IATA's office.
Second: The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Foreign Affairs - or his deputy - to discuss and sign with the European Union a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of combating terrorism, extremism and its financing.
Third: The Cabinet approved to discuss with the Bahraini side to raise the level of representation for the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council to be headed by the crown princes of the two countries.
Fourth: The Cabinet approved the organization of the Saudi Patient Safety Center (SPSC).
Fifth: The Cabinet appointed a number of members in the Family Affairs Council.
Sixth: The Cabinet approved that the National Development Fund - in order to achieve its goals and the goals of its development funds and banks - is to lend and provide other forms of financing to its affiliates and borrow in all its forms.
