Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdurahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhly met at his office in Riyadh today with Yemeni Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Othman Majalli and the accompanying delegation. During the meeting, a number of issues of mutual concern to the two countries in the field of agriculture as well as the joint cooperation to fight swarms of desert locusts coming from Yemen towards the Kingdom were discussed. For his part, the Yemeni delegation briefed Al-Fadhly on the efforts being exerted by Yemeni authorities to curb the proliferation of locusts. The two sides agreed on exerting more effort to combat locusts and facilitate the work of locust fighting squads to enable them reach the infected areas.
