Three U.S. soldiers were injured when a car bomb exploded Thursday in southern Baghdad, the U.S. military said. The attack against a 1st Cavalry Division patrol occurred about 7:30 a.m. (0430GMT) in the Rashid district of the capital, the military said. There was no information on any civilian casualties. U.S. soldiers sealed off the area. Thick smoke could be seen erupting from a burning car after the blast.
