The Union of Organization of Islamic Cooperation News Agencies (UNA), in partnership with the Media Department of the General Secretariat of the Organization and the Islamic Broadcasting Union (IBO), will organize a virtual workshop on the Future of Digital Media Post Coronavirus Pandemic via Zoom platform on 07 October, 2020. In a statement, UNA stated that the workshop will be presented by Digital Media Expert Dr. Ammar Bakkar in Arabic and will be translated to English and French. The workshop is part of the outcomes of the media forum of UNA, which was held on 16 May, 2020, entitled "The Role of News Agencies in Supporting Efforts to Confront Coronavirus Pandemic" under the patronage of Acting Minister of Media in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Union Dr. Majid bin Abdullah AlQasabi. The forum also witnessed the launch of the Union of OIC News Agencies program, which targets developing the capabilities of more than 2,000 media personnel in the OIC countries.
