Alnaimi announces new oil field discovery

The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Ali bin Ibrahim Alnaimi announced that Saudi Arabian Oil Company " Saudi Aramco" has discovered a new field of high grade Arab oil flowing at an average of 3,000 barrels per day.
The minister pointed out that the field was discovered in Abu Sidr, 185 Kilometers south of Riyadh and 480 kilometers southwestern Dhahran and was tested on October 22, noting that the oil density is 54 degrees on the scale of U.S. Petroleum Institute.
He expected a higher rate of production in this field.
