Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at the local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum and Okaz newspapers highlighted in their editorials the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at opening of G20 Labour 20 (L20) Summit on Tuesday. The papers added that the speech focused on the great attention and care being paid by the government for providing job opportunities in light of the accelerating global changes. The papers also added that the speech confirmed that G 20 countries believe that providing opportunities for women is an integral part of any approach that seeks sustainable and inclusive growth, as empowering women in leading positions has become important to ensuring their participation in decision-making and contributing to the prosperity of societies. The papers concluded by saying that the speech reaffirmed that our top and current priorities are combating COVID-19 pandemic and its health, social and economic impacts, along with the international cooperation to discover a vaccine for this pandemic, and achieve justice and inclusiveness in providing it for all, taking into account the needs of the poorest countries.
