Prince Dr Badr bin Salman bin Mohammed Al-Saud, the Advisor at the Court of the Crown Prince and Head of the Islamic Call Committee in Africa, opened here on Sunday the 13th forum for the Committee of the Islamic Call in Africa. The 6-day forum, organized under the title 'The Message of the Mosque in Islam', is hosted by the Riyadh-based Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University. Speaking on the occasion, Prince Dr Badr bin Salman highlighted the important role being played by the mosque, and said the message of the mosque is not confined to worshipping, but it also constitutes a suitable place for discussing the affairs of life in this world. He underscored the role of the mosque as regards memorization of the Holy Quran and teaching Islamic jurisprudence. Prince Dr Badr bin Salman confirmed the importance of moderation, and said Islam does not tolerate extremism.
