Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arena. Al-Yaum newspaper wrote in its editorial titled "Artificial Intelligence and Global Leadership" saying that in the context of seeking to achieve the Kingdom's aspirations for global leadership through the data-based economy and artificial intelligence, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense, will organize the Global AI Summit under the theme: AI for the Good of Humanity, from October 7-8, 2020. The newspaper added that the summit will be held virtually, in line with the international efforts and precautionary measures set by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's government, to protect the participants and attendees from the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19). The newspaper concluded by saying the summit will covers a range of important topics, divided into four tracks: shaping the new normal, AI and governments, governing AI, and the future of AI. These topics will be addressed through keynote speeches, discussion sessions, dialogues, and interactive activities.
