A security official of the U.S. state department was killed Sunday in a grenade attack on a U.S. base near Baghdad International Airport, U.S. secretary of state Colin Powell confirmed in a statement. The official was named as Assistant Regional Security Officer Ed Seitz. A U.S. soldier was also injured in the attack, the department said. Calling Seitz a "brave American", Powell vowed that the attack would not rock the resolve of the U.S. and the free Iraq.
