The Dammam branch of the Saudi Culture and Arts Association is planning to hold the SCAA's 6th Saudi Films Festival on the Ist of September virtually in collaboration with Dhahran-based King Abdulaziz International Cultural Center and supervision of the Films Commission, an affiliate of the Ministry of Culture, organizers said today. They reported that they have so far received as many as 384 applications from interested parties to take part in the event. Out of them, 279 went to scenarios and 105 to films, noting that the festival aims at promoting Saudi cinema industry in general and the talented in particular.
