The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), represented by the Communications and Information Technology Commission, participated in the 6th Asia-Pacific Annual Spectrum Management Conference, which was held virtually during the period from August 3-6, 2020. During the conference, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reviewed its pioneering experience in redistributing the 2.3 and 2.6 GHz frequency bands, and its success in providing ultra-wide frequency bands for mobile telecommunications service providers in the Kingdom to use them in the 4G and 5G technologies of mobile broadband communications, in addition to the Kingdom's direction in provide and offer more than 10 GHz to meet the digital needs, and create a stimulating environment for radio technologies and innovative wireless applications. The conference also reviewed the most important developments and challenges in spectrum management in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, where telecom regulators and operators in this region are moving to work to provide frequencies for 4G and 5G services in the frequency bands 2.3 and 2.6 GHz.
