King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and the Ministry of Education have prepared the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's team to take part in the International Chemistry Olympiads 2020, which will be held virtually in Turkey from 23 to 29 July, 2020. After passing the Winter Forum, intensive training and a number of tests, the top four students were nominated to represent the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the competition. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has won 26 awards during its Olympics participation, including 7 silver medals, 17 bronze medals and a certificate of appreciation. This participation is the tenth participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the International Olympiad of Chemistry, where the participation of the Saudi team began in 2011, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was ranked 61 out of 70 countries. In 2018, Saudi Arabia ranked 28 out of 78 countries, advancing 33 places compared to the first participation in 2011.
