An Islamic delegation, led by Dr Abdullah Al-Turki, the Secretary General of Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL), met here on Thursday Zaid Al-Rifa'ei, the Speaker of the Jordanian Council of Notables. Speaking on the occasion, Al-Rifa'ei highlighted the intensive efforts being exerted by the MWL for projecting Islam in a bright and proper manner. He noted that Islam which is the religion of justice, tolerance, peace and dialogue, has nothing to do with terrorism. On his part, Dr Al-Turki briefed Al-Rifa'ei on the purpose of the visit of the Islamic delegation to Jordan, and said the delegation is keen on exchanging views with the concerned parties on the suitable means for confronting dangers facing the Muslims. He pointed out that the delegation is keen on the awareness of the Muslim youth and fortifying them against destructive and deviated ideas and ideologies as well as against extremism and fanaticism. 'The MWL has been doing its best to confront the deviated ideas and to enlighten the Muslims with the proper Islamic principles', he added.
