Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Abuthnain today participated in the high-level regional summit meeting held by the International Labor Organization (ILO) in the Arab countries on COVID-19 through video communication. The meeting started with a speech by the ILO Director-General followed by the first session that centered on supporting companies, jobs and income. For his part, Dr. Abuthnain indicated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was one of the first countries that realized the danger of the novel coronavirus, so it has exerted tireless proactive and preventive efforts in curbing the virus and limiting its spread at an early stage in addition to providing all the necessary capabilities at the highest level to ensure the health and safety of citizens and residents, citing the G20 extraordinary summit which was called by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the current president of the G20 for 2020 to coordinate and unite the global efforts to combat COVID-19 pandemic.
