Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dr. Youssef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, welcomed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decision to hold a Hajj this year 1441 AH with a very limited numbers of different nationalities who are living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in a manner that ensures the safe holding of the ritual, and ensures the safety of everyone from the threats of COVID-19 pandemic. In a statement, Al-Othaimeen affirmed the support for the decision of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud which comes in line with all precautionary and preventive measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Secretary-General appreciated the utmost care given by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the health and safety of the pilgrims.
