The Board of Directors of the Saudi Professional League has thanked the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH Crown Prince for the great attention being paid to the health and safety of citizens and residents, through precautionary measures being taken by the committee concerned with following up the spread and confronting the novel Coronavirus, and its support for all areas and activities in order to reduce the effects of this pandemic. The League appreciated the efforts of Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, and his efforts to follow-up the safety of all athletes as a top priority, through the guide announced recently by the Ministry, which includes the protocol for the return of sports training and the protocol for sports matches, in preparation for the return of sports activity after coordination with relevant authorities to follow up the developments of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The League's Competitions Committee has set the dates for the resumption and conclusion of Prince Mohammed bin Salman Cup Professional League, and Prince Mohammad bin Salman First Class Professional League. It is noteworthy that the competition will complete for Prince Mohammed bin Salman Cup Professional League for the current sports season (2019-2020), from Tuesday 4 August 2020 ,to conclude on Wednesday 9 September 2020, while the next sports season (2020-2021) of the competition will be launched on Friday, October 16, 2020. As for Prince Mohammad bin Salman First Class Professional League, the competition will resume for the current sports season on Tuesday 4 August 2020, and will end on Sunday 20 September 2020, with the next sports season (2020-2021) of the competition to start on Tuesday 20 October 2020. The committee clarified that it will announce the dates of the remaining rounds of the two competitions for the current sports season 2019-2020 early next week.
