Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Bilad and Al-Eqtisadiah newspapers said in their editorials that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved advanced ranks, from 26th to 24th out of 63 countries, in the Global Competitiveness Annual Report, pointing out that it is the only country in the Middle East and GCC in this progress. The papers added that Saudi Arabia also ranked eighth among the G20 countries in the key areas such as economic performance, business efficiency and infrastructure. The papers pointed out that Saudi Arabia has always recorded successful exceptional model during crises that being highlighted internationally through global competitiveness indicators and standards. The papers concluded that the governmental institutions have succeeded in operating their business and implementing many of their activities and initiatives during the spread of COVID-19 through using technologies and remote communication, emphasizing that Saudi Arabia has managed to overcome the economic and administrative risks of business shutdown.
