COVID-19 Response Committee in the Sultanate of Oman announced the lifting of the health closure of the Governorate of Muscat, starting from Friday. In a statement after a meeting held today, the committee decided, according to the Omani News Agency, to end the decision to exempt employees from attending workplaces in government agencies starting next Sunday, stressing the need to return at least 50% of the employees of each authority. The committee called for taking the appropriate decision to ensure the regular performance of the governmental unit in its work and services, while setting the necessary precautions to ensure that the disease does not spread. The Committee stressed the role of the individual and society in the prevention of this disease, by adhering to the declared preventive precautions, and the necessity of the commitment of all public and private agencies to develop policies, controls and procedures that protect their employees and beneficiaries from the spread of the virus.
