German Foreign Minister Yoschka Fischer was today quoted as saying the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia could play a positive and constructive role in dialogue between Islam and the west. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency during his visit to Frankfurt International Book Fair today, Fischer said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia could provide effective contribution to the dialogue between Islam and the west, given its cultural capabilities in this regard. He also noted the valuable participation of the Kingdom in the exhibition. Fischer also praised the Arab presence and the international gathering in the fair. Later, Fischer attended a lecture delivered by Dr. Abdullah bin Salih Alobeid, Chairman of the National Commission for Human Rights in the Kingdom.
