The European Central Bank kept the eurozone's key rates on hold Thursday, in keeping with market expectations. The benchmark refinancing rate remains at the all-time low 2.0 per cent, the level it has been at since June 2003, the bank said after the ECB governors meeting held in Brussels instead of the usual venue, the bank's headquarters in Frankfurt. ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet was due to hold a press conference later Thursday to discuss the bank's current assessment of monetary and economic conditions in the 12-member eurozone.
