King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continued yesterday for the 16th consecutive day distributing Ramadan food baskets in Punjab, Pakistan, in cooperation with the responsible authorities of the Pakistani government to deliver the aid to beneficiaries' homes or their nearest sites, taking into account all precautionary measures being taken by the government to prevent the outbreak of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). KSrelief distributed 704 food baskets to needy families, benefiting 4,224 people in a number of Punjab's provinces, including 450 food baskets weighing 15 tons in Lahore area benefiting 2,700 people; 244 food baskets weighing 7 tons in Bahawel Najr benefiting 1,344 people and 30 food baskets weighing one ton in Raheem Yar Khan area benefiting 180 people. The total distributed food baskets since the first day reached 19,558. This aid comes within the framework of humanitarian and relief assistance being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan during the holy month of Ramadan.
