Two Indonesian women who had been held hostage in Iraq were generally treated well by their kidnappers, although one was slapped when she refused to answer questions, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said Tuesday. The two women were handed over to the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Baghdad late Monday. Abu Dhabi TV broadcast footage of the pair in long black cloaks known as abayas, sitting quietly in a lounge at the embassy. They appeared nervous but unhurt. Istiqomah binti Mirhar and Casingkem binti Aspin are expected to arrive in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, by the weekend, the Foreign Ministry said.
