Denmark to remain in Iraq, prime minister says

Prime Minister Anders Fogh
Rasmussen said Tuesday that Denmark will keep its 501
troops in Iraq to help "the United Nations secure and
protect the process toward democratic elections."
"If the free world gives up in Iraq now, it will give
extremists and terrorists free rein," Fogh Rasmussen told
lawmakers who reconvened after the summer break. "And they
won't stop at Iraq's borders."
