Montenegro, Oct 5, SPA -- Three Serb generals indicted by the U.N. war crimes tribunal must surrender or face arrest, an official in charge of cooperation with the court said Tuesday. Rasim Ljajic confirmed that authorities have been ordered to apprehend the three indicted police and army generals who failed to answer a local court summons last week dealing with their possible extradition to the tribunal in The Hague, Netherlands. The generals are former army chief of staff Nebojsa Pavkovic; his former deputy, Vladimir Lazarevic; and police general Vlastimir Djordjevic. All are charged with alleged war crimes in Kosovo in 1999 during a Serb crackdown against independence-seeking ethnic Albanians.
