Japan's total death toll from the novel coronavirus has surpassed 500, local media said on Sunday, as the government revealed that it is preparing a plan for the country to eventually get back to some degree of normal, dpa reported. According to broadcaster NHK, 530 people have died from Covid-19, the disease caused by the virus, since Japan's outbreak began. More than 15,500 people have tested positive for the virus, according to official figures. On Sunday, Economic Revitalization Minister Yasutoshi Nishimura sketched out planned reopenings to be permitted, but only once stronger gains were made in containing the outbreak. These would include parks, museums, bookshops and other public places.
