Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawazan Al-Rabiah expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for allocating additional amounts of money to the health sector amounting to SR 47 billion, affirming that they never hesitate to provide all support for everything that contributes to the health and safety of the citizen, which represents their highest priority. In his speech today, the Health Minister drew attention to the amount provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia up to $ 500 million to fund the international efforts to tackle the Coronavirus pandemic. He said: "In order to detect and control the cases, the active screening within the districts shows positive and encouraging indications where the number of the cases, which do not need to be admitted to the hospitals, are increased." He said that Ramadan month has many social activities, expressing his hope that Ramadan will be different this year, due to abiding by the precautions and social distancing. Dr. Al-Rabiah pointed out that the numbers in the Kingdom exceeded 10,000 cases, adding that "We are in one boat. We must apply the social distance to protect ourselves from the virus". He said that the G20 Health Ministers discussed a formulation of joint plan to tackle the Coronavirus, the best practices shared by the member states and innovative effective solutions to confront this disease. The Health Minister appreciated enormous efforts made by all sectors of the state under a direct follow-up of the wise leadership to deal with the Coronavirus in order to safeguard the health and safety of the citizens and residents. He called on everyone to take advantage of the intensive health awareness campaign to adhere instructions and guidelines. Dr. Al-Rabiah expressed his hope that everyone to communicate with the Health Center 937 to reply to their inquiries and consult them around the clock on everything related to the COVID-19, affirming that the advice to stay at home is the most powerful weapon to confront the Coronavirus.
