The GCC Chambers have launched many precautionary steps and measures facing the GCC private sector due to the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, including launching accounts on the social media, and monitoring a number of initiatives of the businessmen and the community services. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Secretary-General of Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (FGCCC) Dr. Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Meshari said that the FGCCC has taken all precautionary measures to reduce the impacts of the Coronavirus, in addition to imposing precise assessment of the current situation of the GCC private sector due to this epidemic. He affirmed that that the FGCCC is working during this period to study the economic impacts and implications of the Coronavirus pandemic on the GCC private sector and take the most important possible solutions to reduce the negative impacts of this pandemic on the private sector in the GCC countries.
