The European Commission is to host an online conference to raise funds for the development of a vaccine for Covid-19 on May 4, according to president Ursula von der Leyen, dpa reported. Deploying a vaccine worlwide "is our collective best shot at beating the virus. To support this global initiative, funding is needed," the EU executive chief says.
