An official source at the Ministry of Interior has stated that further to the Ministry's statement dated on 19 Shaaban 1441 AH regarding the importance of reviewing and setting the numbers of those authorized to move from the employees of vital sectors and workers in activities excluded from the curfew, the Ministry has worked on updating the forms (movement permits during the curfew period) for groups excluded from curfew instructions. The source pointed out that a unified form has been adopted to work according to it, and every government agency issues the necessary permits for its employees or affiliated sectors and the competent authority of the Interior Ministry stamps these permits. And every government agency issues permits for workers in the private sector being supervised by it and shall be stamped by it and the Ministry of Interior. With regard to the employees and personnel who are moving by buses, a driver is allowed to have a permit which includes specifying the number of passengers not to exceed (50%) of the passenger load, number of the plate, route of movement, working days and times in addition to adhering to necessary health requirements for the passengers. The Ministry of Interior affirms that whoever does not adhere to the unified and approved permit will be entitled to a violation of the curfew of a minimum amount (10,000 riyals) ten thousand riyals, as well as other penalties set by the regulation (financial fine, imprisonment). The source confirmed that this will be applied in the cities of Makkah and Madinah effective from 3:00 p.m. Tuesday 21/8/1441 AH.
