Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad and Al-Yaum newspapers reported in their editorials that all concerned agencies and organizations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are exerting unprecedented efforts to confront the challenges and repercussions of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and provide various treatment services on 24/7 basis. In this regard, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz has recently issued a royal order to provide free treatment to all citizens, residents, and persons who violate Iqama regulations at all public and private health facilities without exception, the papers added. In another context, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is working to diversify its energy sources, enhancing dependence on renewable energy in order to achieve a sustainable mix of renewable energy sources. The paper added that the Cabinet has approved forming the Supreme Committee for Energy Mix Affairs for Electricity Production and Enabling Renewable Energy Sector under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs.
