The Security Authorities in Makkah started today to implement additional preventive and precautionary measures in order to safeguard the health and safety of citizens and residents in light of the health recommendations submitted by the concerned authorities to enhance these preventive measures, and to extend the period of curfew within the following neighborhoods (Ajiad, Almasafi, Almsfalah, Alnakhasah and Housh Baker), and preventing anyone from entering or leaving from these districts throughout the day (24) hours, starting from (15:00 pm) on Monday 30, March 2020, until a further notice when it is confirmed that there are no cases that require dealing with or the end of the medically recommended isolation for safety of the population. The population of the aforementioned districts are allowed to benefit from the urgent needs (health care and groceries) within the limits of the exclusion area from (06:00 am to 15:00 pm), and the activities of the permitted entities during the curfew order inside the aforementioned districts are allowed in line with instructions defined by the competent authorities. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) highlighted the measures taken within the framework of the efforts made by all concerned entities to safeguard the public health to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, as it is subject to continuous evaluation with health authorities. A number of residents of the districts covered by the decision to extend the curfew expressed their thanks and gratitude to the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for its keenness for the health of the citizens and residents.
