More than 2,000 people have died in the United States after testing positive for the novel coronavirus, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. The death toll amounted to 2201 while those who were confirmed to have contracted the disease increased to 125433, said the university's information center today. New York state, in particular, has become a hotspot for the virus with 672 cases, Washington 136 as 2612 have recovered in all the states, the report added.
