President of the Arab Parliament Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Sulami has condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack of launching two ballistic missiles by the terrorist Iran-backed Houthi militia toward Riyadh and Jazan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia being successfully intercepted and destroyed by the Royal Saudi Air Defense on Saturday March 28, 2020. In a statement, Dr. Al-Sulami affirmed that launching two ballistic missiles toward civilians and civilian targets in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represents flagrant violations of international laws, conventions and norms, the humanitarian law, as well as United Nations resolutions and international treaties, and is considered as a threat to regional and international security. He added that this action proves Houthi's violation of the ceasefire agreement and that they are working for Iranian regime's plans. The President of the Arab Parliament has sent messages today to the President of the United Nations Security Council and Secretary General of the United Nations, calling on the UN to take urgent steps to prevent Houthi's heinous actions, adding that Iran must be fully responsible and blamed for violating international laws and Security Council resolutions in supplying weapons to the Houthi Militia. The Arab Parliament announced its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and support for all measures it takes to preserve its security, stability and safety.
