The Saudi Embassy in Cairo has called on Saudi citizens currently residing in Egypt to follow all preventive measures that protect them from infection with the new Coronavirus (COVID-19). In a statement issued today, the embassy affirmed the importance of staying away from places of crowded gatherings, commercial complexes, adding that the citizens must adhere to the instructions issued by the relevant Egyptian authorities to combat and prevent this virus. "In light of the Kingdom's decision to suspend flights to and from the Kingdom with all countries of the world, the embassy calls upon the Saudi citizens to ensure that they remain in their residences and avoid contact with others as much as possible," the embassy added. The Embassy also asked the Saudi citizens in Egypt to register their information to the Saudi Affairs Department via phone call, or the WhatsApp emergency number for Corona epidemic, adding that the information must include (name - passport number - residence place - contact number - email) for the purpose of communicating with them later for any developments related to the issue of suspending flights or any other instructions. The statement indicated that the Kingdom's embassy in Egypt has communicated with the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population and other relevant authorities to define procedures and arrangements for dealing with any suspected cases for the Saudi citizens, whether in Cairo or in all governorates, hoping that the Saudi citizens accelerate to contact with the embassy directly in any suspicious infection with the disease.
