Malaysia's ruling party wrapped up its annual congress on Saturday. Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi urged members to present evidence of money politics. "We must avoid any problem that can weaken the United Malays National Organization (UMNO)," Abdullah said in his closing speech to the five-day gathering. "All these things, such as money politics, cannot be allowed." Abdullah told a news conference that the Supreme Council would discuss new measures to curb vote-buying in party elections.
