Saudi GaStat: Suspension of Field Work for Saudi Census 2020 Project Until Further Notice

Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GaStat) announced today the suspension of the "actual enumeration" of the general population, housing and establishments census project "Saudi Census 2020" until further notice.
GaStat stated that the suspension of the "actual enumeration" in the Saudi Census 2020 project comes in accordance with the preventive and precautionary measures recommended by the competent health authorities in the Kingdom, as part of its efforts to control the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and prevent its spread, and based on the authority's concern for the health of families and workers in the field including employees and collaborators, and ensuring their safety.
