Beirut-based Al-Taqwa magazine highlighted the big strides made by the Kingdom in the various development spheres since its unification by King Abdulaziz. 'Millions of Muslims throughout the world view any plot against the Kingdom as a vicious plot hatched by the enemies of the Muslims, said the magazine. On its part, Al-Shara magazine, which is also published in Beirut said the unification of the Kingdom under the leadership of King Abdulaziz was a significant development in the history of the Arabian Peninsula. 'Sine its unification, the Kingdom has been going ahead on the path of modernization, but not at the expense of its deep-rooted values', said the magazine. The Kingdom's constitution is based on the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah (the Prophet's teachings), and its rule is based on the bases of justice, consultation, equality in the light of the Islamic Shariah', said the magazine. The magazine lauded the Kingdom's remarkable role in the support of the Arab and Muslim causes as well as its influential role in the support of the regional and international causes. As regards the Kingdom's stance vis-à-vis the Palestinian problem, the magazine said the Kingdom believes in the importance of putting pressure on Israel until its complies with the international resolutions notably the principle of land-for-peace and the recognition of the legitimate rights of the Palestinians including their right to self-determination and establishment of their independent state. On the phenomenon of terrorism, the magazine pointed out that the Kingdom has been underscoring the importance of joint international efforts for the containment of this dangerous menace.
