The Director General of Anti-Narcotics, Major General Ahmed bin Saadi Al-Zahrani, headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participating in the meeting of the 63rd session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs held at the United Nations Headquarters in Austria. In his speech during the meeting, Major General Al-Zahrani pointed to the Kingdom's interest in drug control in accordance with the relevant international agreements and the Kingdom's efforts to combat it, as well as the attention it gives in treating the victim of its abuse and aftercare, and efforts made to raise awareness of the risks of its use. Maj. Gen. Al-Zahrani stressed the importance of strengthening the cooperation of law enforcement agencies from all countries to exchange information on drug smuggling cells and networks and implement joint operations to reduce drug trafficking. Maj. Gen. Al-Zahrani also opened the Kingdom's Anti-Narcotics Exhibition accompanying the meeting, which reflects the Kingdom's efforts to combat drugs.
