The committee concerned with following up the status of the Corona virus confirmed that no cases of the novel virus have been registered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), yet. It called on everyone to communicate with the Health Center number 937 in case of any inquiry regarding the virus, stressing that relating information shall be taken from its official sources and not to be led by the rumors. This came during the tenth meeting of the committee, which was held here today and chaired by Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, in the presence of the committee members representing the ministries of Defense, Energy, Interior, National Guard, Foreign Affairs, Health, Finance, Media, Trade, Investment, Hajj and Umrah and Education, as well as the Civil Aviation Authority, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, the Food and Drug General Authority, the General Customs Authority, the Ministry of Tourism, the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control. During the meeting, the relevant international events were reviewed, the current situation was evaluated and recommendations made in previous meetings were followed up. The committee also reviewed the global situation and took a set of measures to limit the Corona virus outbreak. It is worth noting that the committee is responsible for following all developments of the situation with the novel COVID-19 virus, coordinating between the concerned authorities, and ensuring that precautionary and preventive measures are implemented in the air, land and sea entry ports, to prevent its occurrence.
