Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Welcomes US, Taliban Co-signing of Peace Agreement -Ministry of Foreign Affairs Announces

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomed here today the signing of a peace agreement between the United States of America and the Afghan Taliban movement, as such a step has a role to play in restoring the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan stability and benefit regional and international security and peace.
The Ministry expressed the Kingdom's aspiration for this step to achieve a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire, in order that peace may prevail throughout the country, contributing to the realization of the hopes and aspirations of the brotherly Afghan people for development and prosperity.
