Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council held official talks here today with the Albanian counterpart Gramoz Ruçi and accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the Kingdom. At the outset of the talks, Al Al-Sheikh welcomed Ruçi to the Kingdom, offering to him condolences on the victims of an earthquake that hit Albania, last November, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries. He also reasserted the significance of the cementing bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Albania, in all domains, especially, in the parliamentary field between the Shura Council and the Albanian parliament, explaining the working mechanism of the Shura, its regulatory and law making capacities, in addition to the parliamentary diplomacy it shoulders through the parliamentary friendship joint committees. Earlier in the day, Gramoz Ruçi and accompanying delegation arrived in the Kingdom and was received, at King Khalid International Airport by the Member of the Shura Council and Co-Chairman of the Saudi-Albanian Parliamentary Friendship Committee, who is also the accompanying escort member Dr. Saleh Al-Khathlan and the Albanian Ambassador to the Kingdom Sami Shiba.
