Madinah, Sept 21, SPA -- The King Fahd complex for printing the Holy Quran has produced more than 180 million copies of the Holy Quran for the past 20 years. A latest annual report of the complex said as many as 173 million copies of the Holy Quran have already been distributed. The complex also produces copies of the Holy Quran interpretations in various languages of the world. The establishment of the complex came within the Kingdom's pioneering role in serving Islam and Muslims and the importance of having a specialized body for the service of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah (Prophet's Sayings). The Madinah-based complex is spread over an area of 250,000 square meters with a capacity of producing 10 million copies of the Holy Quran annually. It produces also books of the 'Sunnah' and Prophet's history. The interpretations of the Holy Quran are undertaken by the Complex in 44 languages including 23 Asian, 10 European and 11 African. A number of distinguished Ulema (Muslim Scholars) and Professors work in the complex.
