Saudi, IMO Officials review cooperation in shipping, navigation

Minister of Transport Dr Jubarah Bin Eid Al-Suraiseri received here on Sunday visiting Secretary General the
International Maritime Organization (IMO) Efthimios Mitropoulos.
They reviewed aspects of cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and IMO in the fields of shipping, navigation safety and
environmental protection.
Speaking on the occasion, Mitropoulos highlighted the Kingdom's continuous support to the IMO.
IMO is one of the UN's organizations which are concerned with maritime affairs and navigation safety throughout the world as well as with the
environmental protection.
The Kingdom is an effective member of IMO since 1969, and it is also a member of IMO's board of directors.
