Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host next month the first Global Cybersecurity Forum under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz. The forum is considered to be the largest in terms of participants from decision makers and specialists. The need for the Forum came because the global economy is witnessing a rapid growth in digital transformation, as it is estimated at more than $ 11.5 trillion annually, equivalent to 15.5% of the total global output, which makes the world in need to enhance cybersecurity and formulate a strong strategy for the future of cybersecurity. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that the official local and international reports confirm the Kingdom's continuous updating of regulations related to combating money laundering, terrorism financing and arms dealing. Reports also confirm the Kingdom's commitment to international standards and requirements issued, making it the first country to comply with international standards in this field.
