College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU), in cooperation with the Tech Campus Center for Technical and Vocational Training, concluded here today women's camp for cyber security. The camp was held at the college's laboratories for a period of two weeks, with 70 training hours. It provided evening sessions for remote training. The ability of communication among trainers and trainees was also provided via live broadcasting to qualify the trainees technically in line with work requirements through training and practical application in fully-equipped college laboratories. The Dean of Computer and Information Sciences College at PNU, Dr. Hanan bint Abdullah bin Menqash, stated that the number of applications to join the camp reached 1032, and only 60 trainees were accepted. She also stressed the importance of focusing on the needs of the labor market and training students to be a part of the digital transformation, in line with the National Transformation Program 2020. For her part, the director of the camp, Eng. Olaa Alquaiey, said that this camp is considered as one of the most important training camps in this sector, adding that it has a leading role in protecting the security of individuals, society, and institutions.
