Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that the Quality of Life program 2020, one of the executive programs of Kingdom's 2030 vision, is concerned with improving the lifestyle of the individual and the family and building a society that blends its members with a balanced lifestyle. The program, which was launched by the Economic and Development Affairs Council in 2018 with a total spending of SR 130 billion, targets the infrastructure and transportation projects, security and social environment, housing and urban design and environment, health care, education and economic opportunities, in addition to hosting international recreational, sports and cultural events. The paper pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranks second in the Arab world and the thirty-sixth globally in the list of countries with very high human development, according to the Human Development Report issued by the United Nations Development Program for 2019.
