An Indonesian court sentenced a Muslim militant to 12 years in jail on Thursday after finding him guilty of involvement in last year's J.W. Marriott hotel bombing in Jakarta. Ismail was convicted of transporting the explosives used in the Aug. 5, 2003, attack, and assisting in the assembly of the bomb, which killed 12 people. Ismail, also known as Ricky Putranto, is the 16th person convicted so far in the case. His trial in the South Jakarta District Court began in May.
