ATIAH ON MONDAY CALLED ON THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO EXERT PRESSURE ON ISRAEL TO ALLOW INTERNATIONAL INSPECTORS EXAMINE ITS NUCLEAR INSTALLATIONS. SPEAKING AT A NEWS CONFERENCE WITH KUWAITI FOREIGN MINISTER, ALSO CHAIRMAN OF THE CURRENT MINISTERIAL SESSION OF THE GCC, SHEIKH DR. MOHAMMAD SABAH AL-SALEM AL-SABAH, AL-ATIAH SAID THE GCC STATES HAVE REPEATEDLY CALLED FOR RENDERING THE MIDDLE EAST A NUCLEAR-FREE ZONE. HE STRESSED ON THE NECESSITY THAT ISRAELI JOINS THE NUCLEAR NON-PROLIFERATION TREATY (NPT) AND SUBJECTING ITS NUCLEAR INSTALLATIONS TO THE INTERNATIONAL INSPECTION OF THE IAEA. HE CALLED ON IRAN TO RESPOND TO THE CALLS OF THE GCC STATES FOR SETTLING THE ISSUE OF THE THREE UAE ISLANDS, GREATER AND LESSER TONBS AND ABU MOUSSA.
